Scope: Finland's
peaks— source decision first, then the layer. What was measured (2025-04-03 delivery, on disk): MTK's elevation-point class korkeuspiste (kohdeluokka 52210) exists in
MTK-muut(Lueminut.txt is explicit) but the whole-country file carries 0 rows — MML 2025 ships no surveyed elevation points. So "no via MTK today".The real options (both national):
dem2m/dem10m/dem25m) — the analogue of Iceland'shaedarpunktarelevation markers (e.g. peaks = local maxima of the DEM above a threshold).paikannimiregister (already staged asfi_paikannimi— it feedsplaces) — but that gives named summits, a different layer shape from Iceland's unnamed elevation markers (R13 wants a line per layer, not necessarily the same semantics).Decision needed: which shape, hence which source. Default recommendation: DEM-derived spot heights from
dem25m/dem10m(cheap), named fells as a later refinement.From #84 — catalogue line in docs/country-finland.md.
I would say that prominent/named peaks is good enough as a baseline for the per-country requirements. What Iceland does is overkill (it's ok to keep it, but shouldn't be required in all countries).
Result is in #205 — #205; the review note is the PR description.
