CVF — Centralt Vej- og stiregister (Vejdirektoratet)

Verified live 2026-08-24. Anonymous WFS, two equivalent paths:
http://geocloud.vd.dk/CVF/wfs and the NAP mirror
https://distribution.dataudveksler.app.vd.dk/api/dataset/58/geo/0/wfs.
numberOfFeatures="307833" on CVF:veje. Refreshed daily; the NAP metadata shows
timeLastSuccessUtc = 2026-08-24T00:03:46Z.

Attributes (from DescribeFeatureType plus a 4 000-feature sample):

BETEGNELSE — road name, populated
VEJ_ELLER_STI — Vej 79% / Sti 21%, so paths are separable
VEJSTATUS — administrative status, not functional class: Offentlig 51%,
Privat fælles 38%, Privat 9%, Almen, Udlagt privat fælles
VEJTYPE — the only functional signal, populated on ~48% of features; observed
values Øvrige veje and Motortrafikvej (motorways presumably Motorvej outside
the sample). Enumerate the real domain before mapping.
No route number. ADM_NR is administrative, not E20.

Licence CC BY 4.0 per the NAP record (metadata/license = CC_BY) — though the same
record's conditionsForUse points at CC0 legalcode and licenseName says
"Creative Commons Universal License". Both permissive; worth one email under R2, blocks
nothing.

GeoDanmark `Vejmidte`

Behind token= (#220). This is where the full class hierarchy and the road numbers live.

Recommendation

Land roads on GeoDanmark behind the provider and keep CVF as the anonymous fallback
and the cross-check. If the provider slips, CVF alone still yields a defensible
motorway / other-road / path layer with names — but label it as a tier, the way Greece's
TEN-T roads are labelled, rather than letting it read as the full network.

Do not use INSPIRE roadlink: 2 506 759 features and no class, name or ref.
